    Strategic Financial Solutions Buffalo is looking for a Learning Technology Manager to join our Strategic University team.  This person is inquisitive, a systems thinker, and has experience working on multiple projects with several stakeholders at the same time to support learning and performance management technology for our employee-owners.  The Learning Technology Manager will administer our talent management and learning systems (i.e. Cornerstone or others) to enable interactive and meaningful learning to support our employees and meet business objectives.  In addition, this person will help to research and evaluate new learning technologies and vendors to support e-learning, microlearning, and instructional design tools.

    • Manages talent management system and other learning technologies (currently Cornerstone on Demand) to ensure effective administration, including testing and posting new content, developing assessments, troubleshooting administrative and user technical issues, documenting all changes, and developing reports and queries for a variety of internal stakeholders.
    • Works with Learning Technology Governance Committee to determine best practices for naming conventions, file structure, assessments, content review, and overall governance.  Develops and documents agreed-upon practices and policies as needed to establish consistent use of system.
    • Makes recommendations to leaders on procedural improvements to better support learning and development initiatives and user experience.
    • Maintains knowledge of LMS best practices and vendor-specific software to ensure best level of talent management service to support business needs.  Keeps abreast of vendor communication and upcoming system changes. Performs testing for any enhancements or new functionality.
    • Develops reports and queries that are concise, intuitive, and actionable.  Prepares reports and statistics for organizational users.
    • Partners with University team to develop or source e-learning and microlearning solutions to support business objectives and create solutions that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners (e.g. instructor-led, webinars, videos, online courses, quick reference guides, job aids, performance support walkthroughs, etc.)
    • Implement tools to track the results of learning experiences (i.e. assessments, quizzes, rubrics, evaluation strategies).  Makes recommendations based on these measurements to improve quality of training programs.
    • Drives effective project management in all projects through the identification of scope, key stakeholders, RACI models, timelines, and issues/resolution logs


    • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in education, educational technology, information technology, communications or related field
    • Three (3) or more years’ experience as an LMS/TMS administrator (Cornerstone, Saba, SumTotal or similar tools)
    • Experience with learning technology authoring tools (i.e., Brainshark, Adobe Creative Suite, WalkMe, Articulate, Webex, etc.)
    • Knowledge of best practices in learning technologies (Gartner, Masie, ATD, SALT, etc.)
    • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
    • Strong listening skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel
