    Our growing consumer services firm is seeking a highly motivated entry level/junior associate to assist the General In-House Counsel in everyday tasks and ongoing litigation defense. This role will be focused on litigation defense and negotiations. Ideal candidates will be a proactive, team player who is quick and eager to learn new skills. This position will act as a liaison between multiple departments and different attorney across the US. Additionally, the junior associate will work independently on small to medium sized matters and assist senior team members on large/complex matters. Salesforce knowledge and experience is preferred, but not required.


    Candidate admitted to practice in multiple states is a plus, particularly any of the following states: Florida, California, Texas, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Virginia, Ohio, and New Jersey.


    • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
    • Prepare and draft legal documents
    • Work with and advise clients and attorneys on highly escalated matters, as well as provide guidance and practical solutions to multiple departments
    • Draft and file pleadings and manage ongoing litigation matters from start to finish
    • Review plaintiff motions and prepare responsive motions
    • Provide direct assistance to senior lawyers on matters arising in the course of day –to-day matters
    • Implement good judgement in internal and external written and verbal communications
    • Developing an innovative approach to legal issues in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives with a great level of professionalism and exceptional business judgment
    • Other duties as requested, and flexibility with regards to special projects or specific needs


    • JD graduate from an ABA accredited law school and 0-2 years of experience
    • New York Bar License Required
    • Excellent mathematical skills
    • Analytical thinker/forward and outside the box
    • Self-motivated and team player with a sense of humor
    • Ability to effectively communicate
    • Can provide practical legal advice that takes into account both the legal and business risk of a particular situation
    • Experience with bankruptcies, mortgages, and negotiations a plus
    • Audit/Quality Control Experience a plus
