We are looking for a self-motivated Junior Analyst who can own the analytic foundation of our Client Services Department by automating reporting dashboards and delivering action-oriented insights.  The Junior Analyst will not spend entire days looking at spreadsheets.  Instead, the ideal candidate can interact with senior management to bring recommendations that are based on the numbers.  The Junior Analyst should not just be an Excel wizard, but also have experience with data modelling, predictive modelling, and client presentations.  Intellectual curiosity, ownership, and detail-orientation are requirements for the Analytics Department.

Responsibilities

  • Live in the world of the Client Services department, fully immersed in the opportunities and challenges that they face
  • Conceive of and implement new reporting, dashboards, and innovations to grow the business and improve processes
  • Validate data quality of all inputs, and coordinate with partners when data issues arise
  • Maintain data quality of all deliverables
  • Automate reports and dashboards communicating progress on department and employee KPIs
  • Produce regularly scheduled and ad hoc reporting, as necessary
  • Analyze call center data to identify client trends, forecast volume, call reasons, etc.
  • Travel to Buffalo, NY operations center, as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years analytics experience in business analytics, statistics, or related field
  • Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics degrees preferred
  • An analytical mindset: able to break down large problems, develop multiple approaches to solutions, and deliver data-driven insights
  • Proficiency in data modelling and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, or any similar tool) required
  • Continuous curiosity and a knack for solving problems
  • Obsession for details and organization
  • Confident to dialogue and able to debate data discovery insights
  • Ability to make the complex simple, and explain data through stories
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven organization

Compensation: Up to 50-60K, commensurate with experience
