Overview

The position reports to the Client Service Manager. The Servicing Specialist will be responsible for handling client calls, working with underwriting on new loans, and handling delinquent accounts. This position will also play an important role in optimizing the use of resources; to identify opportunities to improve company servicing performance.

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the servicing of the existing loans, which includes the following: handle inbound calls and emails about the client’s account, process late payments, and handle any customer escalated issues.
  • Initiate outbound calling campaigns for delinquent accounts by contacting and determining the best course of action to assist our clients.
  • Structure payment plans to improve the rate of late payment recoveries.
  • Assist in projects as they relate to optimizing loan servicing activities/workflows and enhancing reporting methods.
  • Follow all changing guidelines within the loan servicing operations process and applicable policies due to changes in lending requirements or recommendations by CFPB, FRB and other regulatory agencies

 

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 year experience in customer servicing call center function.
  • Familiarity with consumer lending products and practices is a plus.
  • Understand the importance of consistency, accuracy and detail-orientation
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excel, Word, Outlook proficient.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism both over by phone and by E-mail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Open to constructive feedback and willing to learn from errors
  • Possess the ability to change priorities quickly as time-sensitive needs arise, and able to adapt to a fluctuating workflow, particularly during periods of high loan volume
  • Must be able to work both as part of a cohesive team and independently within set guidelines.
  • Committed to providing exceptional service to borrowers in a professional manner.

Compensation: Up to 40K, commensurate with experience
