The objective of the position of Negotiations Associate is to provide support to the negotiations team and to ensure that all information received by the payments team is accurate. As a negotiations associate, you will provide support to the negotiations team by ensuring that all information is correct before a settlement is received by the payments department. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring that the client can afford the settlement as proposed, all information in the system accurately reflects the information proposed by the creditor, and that tasks are set correctly within certain guidelines to ensure the client’s success in their debt management program. The role of negotiations associate is constantly growing to include more responsibilities to further assist the negotiators, payment processors, and attorneys.
The negotiations associate team relies heavily on teamwork and cooperation. As an associate, you would work with your team members to be sure that all tasks and assignments are completed in a timely manner through collaboration and distribution of work. Our ideal candidate would be someone who believes that there is no job too big or too small, so long as it is in service of the team.
