Reporting to the SVP of Application Development, the Salesforce Technical Lead / Sr. Developer provides technical or business analytical leadership for specific technical objectives to the Technical Team.  You must demonstrate thoughtful leadership related to and Heroku cloud platforms.  Provides advanced technical and/or business consultative services to internal departments. Mentor technical staff on concepts.


  • Ensure technical best practices in all solutions being developed.
  • Experience in designing and developing solutions in Visual force, Apex, D/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and other technologies.
  • Interface with offshore team members.
  • Has built integration jobs based on technical requirements.
  • Lead development initiatives and provides mentorship and direction to less experienced developers.
  • Facilitate and participate in code reviews with senior and junior staff. Coach staff to ensure code meets high standards.
  • Proven ability to gather data migration requirements, define a data migration plan and perform complex data migrations requiring transformation using a database, and potentially containing very large data sets.
  • Architect and implement solutions involving both Salesforce and other high volume transactional systems.
  • Facilitate and attend Solution Design Review Sessions for inflight projects and follow up with both inhouse team and outside partners.
  • Lead project technical scoping, technical specification review, training of new staff and of emerging Salesforce technologies to existing staff.
  • Participate in Contract Reviews to weigh in on the technical portion.
  • Lead management of all Salesforce Platform including but not limited to SSO integration, security strategies and workflow automation.



  • Bachelors degree and 6-10 years of application development experience.  Computer Science degree preferred
  • Salesforce Advanced Developer certification. 
  • Experience building and integrating Heroku and Salesforce apps. 
  • Experience building (or implementing from specifications) customer- or public-facing web-based user interfaces, with a deep understanding of HTML, Javascript, and CSS. 
  • Excellent understanding of object-oriented concepts and design patterns, as well as prior work with OO languages (Java, Ruby, C#, C++, etc)
  • Experience with and knowledge of relational databases, including work with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or other common RDBMS.
  • Familiarity with the basic concepts of good UI design and ability to advise projects as to good UI design practices
  • Familiarity with and some experience using Node.js, jQuery and/or Prototype.
  • Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly sprint planning and assessment
  • Experience in training and writing training documentation
