Overview

 

Strategic Financial Solutions just opened its newest office in Buffalo and we are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead the IT department as we start up this operation. This individual will report to the VP of IT in New York and lead the execution of IT initiatives at the Buffalo facility, including facility startup and ongoing maintenance and improvements of IT infrastructure and processes in support of Buffalo operations. As the overall operation and IT team grow over time, this person will need to be hands-on, especially initially, in the execution of IT tasks.

Responsibilities

The IT Manager is responsible for leading and executing facility IT initiatives and ongoing tasks, including the installation, support, and maintenance of advanced networks, servers, virtualization and communication systems and the configuration of equipment and software to address specific business needs, using industry best practices. This person will be responsible for creating and leading a team of level 1 support personnel, as well as developing and leveraging a series of service provider partners, to deploy and manage technology servicing 500+ associates.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience of increasing levels of technical knowledge and exposure to the following core competencies:

    • Firewalls (Meraki and/or Cisco experience preferred)
    • Networking Diagnostics
    • Routing
    • Cloud based call center / telephony systems (8x8 experience preferred)
    • Server Setup and Administration (Windows 2008 and Windows 2012)
    • Active Directory (Including managing and deploying Group Policies)
    • Exchange Online 365 (Mailbox and policy management)
    • Virtualization (VMWare)
    • Disaster Recovery
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills
    • Self-starter work style that looks for ways to grab an opportunity and run with it
    • A passion for technology, innovation and a track record of results
    • Technical Certifications not required, but preferred
    • Managed Service Provider experience preferred
    • Strong leadership, including managing and leading the development and performance of a team of individuals.
